Online tickets can be used any day and time that the museum is open (you are not restricted to the date printed on the ticket). Please be ready to print your tickets immediately after purchase. Discounts and passes cannot be accepted for online purchases. Tickets are transferable, and can be shared as gifts for friends and family!

A professional scientist will lead the class through activities to spark a passion for scientific discovery. Each family will receive an age-appropriate journal to document their own scientific journey. This program is designed for children between the ages of 3 - 5.
 
Lucky Duct Tape Pens

Add some flair to your writing by decorating a pen with patterned duct tape! All materials will be provided, and an instructor will guide you through the steps to decorate your own pen that your classmates will be envious of! Included are stories, songs, rhymes, and one-on-one parent/child playtime with brain-based learning toys and books. The program is designed to teach parents about the importance of a child's early experiences to the wiring of his or her brain in a fun, informal learning setting where play is emphasized. Children birth to 8 months old plus a parent/caregiver are welcome. Admission into the program is free with paid Museum admission. Space is limited.†

Sweet Treats Extravaganza 07/31/2016
Make an assortment of treats for your friend in honor of International Friendship Day! Each participant will have the opportunity to make an assortment of 4 treats, choosing from pretzel rods, jumbo marshmallows on a stick, or chocolate sandwich cookies. These items may then be dipped in chocolate or vanilla candy coating, and then decorated with an assortment of toppings! Take home containers will be provided as well. Admission for each participant is $6 for members and $8 for non-members.

Building Connections Through Shared Experiences
Building Connections Through Shared Experiences 08/19/2016

One of Southwest Human Developmentís literacy experts will give parents/caregivers strategies on how to incorporate interactive talking and learning experiences into everyday life, and discover ways to extend and enrich literacy based activities. Parents/caregivers will also learn the value of early and frequent verbal interactions with their children. Child observation, staying in the moment, and parentsí role in language development will be discussed. This workshop is deigned for children ages birth to five plus a parent/caregiver and includes story time, an art activity, singing and dancing. Each child will receive a new book to take home.

Baby Yoga
Baby Yoga 08/21/2016
Through gentle yoga stretches, touch, music, and singing, caretakers and babies are encouraged to bond with one another to support the emotional well being of baby, as well as, stimulate the nervous system through sensory activities that support touch, and movement. Both baby and parent will participate in repetitive soothing motions of relaxation techniques, constructive play, and experience some yoga poses and practice breathing to embrace and celebrate the developmental milestones in the first year of the babyís life. Class is designed for children ages 5 months through 15 months and is taught by Anna Blocher-Rubin. Admission into the program is free with paid Museum admission. Space is limited.

Introduce your young child to the countless benefits of yoga in this specially designed class that uses games, music, stories and play to explore postures, balance and breath.
