Online tickets can be used any day and time that the museum is open (you are not restricted to the date printed on the ticket). Please be ready to print your tickets immediately after purchase. Discounts and passes cannot be accepted for online purchases. Tickets are transferable, and can be shared as gifts for friends and family!

Brain Time for Babies
Brain Time for Babies 05/22/2015 To 05/31/2015

This program emphasizes simple but critical messages about early brain development. Included are stories, songs, rhymes, and one-on-one parent/child playtime with brain-based learning toys and books. Join us this month as we develop gross motor and visual tracking skills while interacting with balls! We will interact with a variety of balls, while learning all of the developmental benefits. The program is designed to teach parents about the importance of a child's early experiences to the wiring of his or her brain in a fun, informal learning setting where play is emphasized. Children birth to 18 months old plus a parent/caregiver are welcome. 

 
King or Queen of the Art Studio Castle

Hear ye, hear ye! Come to the Art Studio to be crowned as king or queen of the castle for a day. Be the first to paint the castle with your name. Make a special crown. Pose in a robe and hold a scepter while your photo is taken for display in the museum.  $15
 
Brain Time for Toddlers

This program emphasizes simple but critical messages about early brain development. Included are stories, songs, rhymes, and one-on-one parent/child playtime with brain-based learning toys and books.  We’re going to have a ball in this session, as we play with balls of all sizes, textures, and colors!  Playing with balls helps to develop gross motor skills, as well as eye-hand coordination. The program is designed to teach parents about the importance of a child's early experiences to the wiring of his or her brain in a fun, informal learning setting where play is emphasized. Children 18 months to 3 years old plus a parent/caregiver are welcome.

This program emphasizes simple but critical messages about early brain development. Included are stories, songs, rhymes, and one-on-one parent/child playtime with brain-based learning toys and books.  Join us this month as your preschooler will explore a variety of gross motor movement tasks through our obstacle course!  By moving through our obstacle course, your child will have the opportunity to focus on a variety of movement skills, such as: throwing, jumping, crawling, and balancing.  The program is designed to teach parents about the importance of a child's early experiences to the wiring of his or her brain in a fun, informal learning setting where play is emphasized. Children 3 years old to 5 years old plus a parent/caregiver are welcome.

Got curiosity? You're never too young to explore the world around you! Come discover scientific concepts in this hands-on class to explore measuring, light, magnetism and more! A professional scientist will lead the class through activities to spark a passion for scientific discovery. Each family will receive an age-appropriate journal to document their own scientific journey. This program is designed for children between the ages of birth - 2.

Shrinkable Pet Tags

Your dog or cat will be so honored to wear a pet tag created by you! We'll provide the shrinkable paper, colored pencils, markers, and patterns to inspire your design, you provide the creativity! After your design is complete, we'll shrink your design to it's appropriate size for your pet to wear. Don't have a pet? That's alright, these tags are perfect for stuffed animals too!

You’re invited to Jump stART your visit to the Museum with a special early morning session in the Art Studio, which includes an exclusive, fun-filled art project and castle painting! Jump stART is staffed by two professional art educators who will facilitate the session providing specialized instruction and guidance. Children of all ages plus a parent/caregiver are welcome. Special Night of Play is an evening for families with children affected by special needs, allowing them access to the museum during a less-crowded and more peaceful atmosphere compared to our regular business hours.

Tickets must be purchased during one of the four following time frames:
5:30pm | 6:00pm | 6:30pm | 7:00pm.
Check-in on the night of the event will correspond with the time on your ticket.

Tickets to this event will be available for purchase beginning Friday, May 1st.

 
Mess Makers for Toddlers

It's Slime Time! Join us in this session where we will play with slime, ooey gooey putty, and other messy goop! Please note: You may wish to bring a change of clothes for your little one, since we do get involved in hands-on messy play in this program! In this series of programs, you and your child will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on, messy play at the Museum. The best part is that we do the clean-up, so you don’t have to! Children 12 to 24 months-old plus a parent/caregiver are welcome.

Journey with us as we use all of our senses to explore the wonders of the USA. Campers will have a chance to see, hear, smell, taste, and touch wonders from around the country, and will discover new foods, facts, and traditions. Join the CMoP Hall of Famers as we roll out the red carpet and explore what makes each of us unique and talented. Join the Element Explorers as we discover the wonders of water, facts about fire, anything air, and everything earth! Campers will explore concepts of sinking and floating, will discover the properties of air, and will participate in a variety of other elemental activities. Sample Activities: Sink or Float?, Parachutes, Gardening, Fire-Safety Crafts, and more!

Super Hero Adventure

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's .... Superman? Did you know that Superman's birthday is in the summer? To celebrate, we are taking the week to discover the everyday heroes among us. Join us as we create superhero capes, recognize our real-life heroes, and explore our own heroic talents through risk-taking, role-play, and teamwork. Each day, campers will work towards earning a super-hero badge presented on the last day of camp. Sample Activities: Recognizing real-life heroes,  Birthday Surprise for Superman, Comic Book Creation, and more!
