Online tickets can be used any day and time that the museum is open (you are not restricted to the date printed on the ticket). Please be ready to print your tickets immediately after purchase. Discounts and passes cannot be accepted for online purchases. Tickets are transferable, and can be shared as gifts for friends and family!

This program emphasizes simple but critical messages about early brain development. Included are stories, songs, rhymes, and one-on-one parent/child playtime with brain-based learning toys and books. The program is designed to teach parents about the importance of a child's early experiences to the wiring of his or her brain in a fun, informal learning setting where play is emphasized.Ages 15 months to 3 years welcome!

Make your own festive finger puppets to celebrate the spooky season. Will you turn your puppet into a ghost, Frankenstein, or a jack-o-lantern? The possibilities are endless in this creative program! We'll provide plenty of materials and you provide the ideas and inspiration to make two finger puppets. Admission to this program is $3 for members and $4 for non-members for each participant.

You’re invited to Jump stART your visit to the Museum with a special early morning session in the Art Studio, which includes an exclusive, fun-filled art project and be one of the first to paint our NEW GIANT ROBOT for the day! Get Ready to Read! Early Literacy Screenings for 3-5 year olds 10/15/2016

Is your child ready for Kindergarten? Get Ready to Read! is an early literacy program designed to help parents ensure that young children are equipped with the fundamental skills necessary for learning to read. The goal of Get Ready to Read! is to screen children between the ages of 3 years, 6 months - 5 years, 11 months, for pre-reading skills before they enter kindergarten and provide skill-strengthening activities to ensure their reading success. Each screening takes about 10 minutes and the kids walk away with pre-reading exercises as well as a free book. The Get Ready to Read! program is a part of the Arizona Literacy and Learning Center, their Web site is: www.azlit.org.

Laying the Foundation for Literacy

One of Southwest Human Development’s literacy experts will provide parents an overview of brain development and brain anatomy, and introduce parents to important child developmental milestones.  Parents will also learn how to read and with their children at varying ages.  This workshop is designed for children ages birth to five plus a parent/caregiver and includes story time, an art activity, singing and dancing.  Each child will receive a new book to take home.

Through gentle yoga stretches, touch, music, and singing, caretakers and babies are encouraged to bond with one another to support the emotional well being of baby, as well as, stimulate the nervous system through sensory activities that support touch, and movement. Both baby and parent will participate in repetitive soothing motions of relaxation techniques, constructive play, and experience some yoga poses and practice breathing to embrace and celebrate the developmental milestones in the first year of the baby’s life. Class is designed for children ages 5 months through 15 months and is taught by Anna Blocher-Rubin. Admission into the program is free with paid Museum admission. Space is limited.

Join us at The Children’s Museum of Phoenix as we fill our winter days with hands-on learning, games, and activities designed to cultivate the muscles and minds of your young ones. Each unique camp includes relevant literature exploration, art activities, and plenty of free play within all three floors of our imaginative exhibits. December 21-23 and December 28-30. Winter Brrr-eak Camps run Monday through Wednesday 9am to 4pm with early/aftercare available.

Enjoy some sparkling apple cider before ringing in the new year at noon on the first floor! As the clock strikes noon, we will provide fun music for dancing on our dance floor, and even a balloon drop in the Atrium! You will not want to miss this celebration! Admission into the Museum for the Happy Noon Year Celebration will be $14 per person (ages 1 year and up) for non-members or $3 per person for members. Regular Museum admission rates will apply starting at 12:00 p.m.

New Year's Eve is not complete without your very own festive New Year's party hat! Decorate your own in this program using a variety of craft materials to create a colorful and sparkly hat for your celebration.
