GIFT CARDS are a budget-friendly, easy way to give the gift of admission to the Museum. Plus, they can also be used in the Gift Shop! In denominations of $10, $25, $50, and $75, there is sure to be a card that fits any budget.

Online tickets can be used any day and time that the museum is open (you are not restricted to the date printed on the ticket). Please be ready to print your tickets immediately after purchase. Discounts and passes cannot be accepted for online purchases. Tickets are transferable, and can be shared as gifts for friends and family!

King or Queen of the Art Studio Castle

Hear ye, hear ye! Come to the Art Studio to be crowned as king or queen of the castle for a day. Be the first to paint the castle with your name. Make a special crown. Pose in a robe and hold a scepter while your photo is taken for display in the museum.  $15

Join us for a two part series of fun-filled art classes bursting with color, shapes, lines, and textures! Sign up for the entire series or an individual class! Get messy mixing colors! Create art out of geometric shapes! Use the power of lines in your artwork! Make collages and sculptures with differing textures! These classes are specifically tailored for children ages 6 years to 9 years.

You’re invited to Jump stART your visit to the Museum with a special early morning session in the Art Studio, which includes an exclusive, fun-filled art project and castle painting! During this hands-on workshop, children between the ages of 4-8 years will have a blast discovering the science of aerodynamics by creating a rocket using basic household materials. Admission into the program is free with paid Museum admission.  Space is limited.

Family Storytelling
Family Storytelling 09/18/2015

One of Southwest Human Development’s literacy experts will educate parents on the importance of sharing family stories as a way to enhance early language and literacy, and the use of storytelling to preserve culture and heritage.   Parents will share special stories about their own families and the trainer will discuss ways to extend these memories into make-believe, predictions, and print. This workshop is designed for children ages birth to five plus a parent/caregiver and includes story time, an art activity, singing and dancing.  Each child will receive a new book to take home. www.swhd.org.  Admission into the Museum is FREE when you pre-register for this program.
